Li Mingqiang Holds Meets with Saudi Contractors Authority Delegation
On May 28, Li Mingqiang, Assistant General Manager of China Machinery Engineering Group Corporation (CMEC Group), met with a delegation led by Abdulmajid Mohammed, Director of the Saudi Contractors Authority. This meeting was a direct outcome of last month's visit by the Saudi Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs to China. The discussions focused on enhancing municipal infrastructure construction and comprehensive utilization in Saudi Arabia.
During the talks, Li Mingqiang highlighted CMEC Group's outstanding achievements and exceptional capabilities in design consulting and engineering construction, as well as the company’s ongoing projects in the Middle East. Li noted that the meeting coincided with the Ministerial Conference of the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum, underscoring the increasing economic and trade exchanges between China and Saudi Arabia. He emphasized that this historical opportunity provides a broad prospect for deeper cooperation, expressing CMEC Group’s willingness to actively participate in Saudi Arabia’s urban planning and infrastructure construction.
Abdulmajid Mohammed expressed his pleasure in visiting CMEC Group, and acknowledged the company’s success in the Middle East. Through this in-depth exchange, he gained a deeper understanding of CMEC Group's technical strength and project management advantages in engineering construction, particularly in urban modernization. He expressed confidence in the potential for successful collaboration in urban comprehensive planning and environmental engineering.
The meeting also included participants from the Shanghai Municipal Engineering Design Institute (Group) Co. Ltd., China United Engineering Corporation Limited (CUC), and the CMEC Urban Construction Division, who provided relevant presentations.
